Ship's Chandlers, 50 East Shore, Anstruther Easter

The Scottish Fisheries Museum is a composite group of buildings that form an enclosed courtyard. It includes a former ship chandler house and shop on the west side, which is a two-storey structure made of stucco and harl, featuring a pantile and slate roof. This building has a moulded doorpiece and a projecting stair wing inscribed with "WL-HD."

To the north is a two-storey range dating from 1721, constructed of rubble with a pantile and slate roof, built on the site of a former chapel. This range retains a 13th century double lancet window. On the east side, there is a former coopers' shed, which is a two-storey brick building with a pantile roof, adjacent to the "Abbot's Lodging," a two-storey and attic structure made of rubble and pantile that dates back to the 16th century.

On the south side, there are late 19th century offices that are two-storeys high, built of stucco and slate, alongside an earlier rubble wall and arched gateways. The museum was converted from these buildings in 1970.
