Description

Lochmill Steading, dated 1851, has a northeastern section that is likely older. The building originally consisted of two parallel blocks that were connected to create a V-shaped courtyard, with gate-piers added later at the west side. The northern wing was formerly a threshing mill, although the wheel has been removed. The structure is made of plain rubble with dressed stone details and has a slated roof. It is an interesting grouping situated in a valley.
