Description

Bouprie Farm Steading is an earlier 19th-century U-plan farm complex with later additions. It features a pair of small projecting single bay, single storey wings. The southwest range includes a cartshed, granary, stable, and threshing barn, while the northeast range contains a dairy, egg house, and byre, along with a covered cattle court in the central courtyard and a horsemill at the rear northwest.

The southwest range has three segmental-headed arched openings for the cartshed, with two small louvered openings above for the granary. The stable has a door at ground level and a hayloft door close to the eaves, with small windows and louvered openings flanking these doors. There are two large openings for the threshing barn on the far left, with a sliding timber door at the left. Inside the threshing barn, there are brick setts.

The northeast range features a door in the centre and left, with a blocked window in the gable end bay.

On the southeast elevation, the two single storey, single bay wings are located at the south gable ends. The northeast wing, formerly a dairy, has a door in the centre, while the southwest wing has a large door for storage. The central cattle court is set back in the yard and has three piended roofs, with a small door in the centre and large full-height doors flanking the outer bays. There is a narrow modern timber shed adjoining the cattle court to the northeast range. Inside, cast-iron columns support an open truss A-frame roof in the central bay.

The northwest range features a circular horsemill with six openings to the right, alongside a modern brick and corrugated plastic barn to the left. The interior of the horsemill has remnants of machinery exposed to the rafters.

The complex includes boarded timber doors, timber sash and case windows, and timber ventilator louvers. The roofs are covered with piended red clay pantiles on the single storey wings, cattle court, and threshing barn, while the horsemill has a polygonal roof with red clay pantiles. The southwest range has a pitched red clay pantile roof, and the northeast range has a pitched corrugated asbestos roof.
