This is an early 19th century post office and shop. It is a two-storey, three-window building constructed of local whin rubble with freestone dressings and quoins, with a shop front at ground floor level. The listing recognises the building's group interest and applies to both its internal and external features as appropriate for its type. The building was previously classified as a building of local interest (B) before being re-categorised as a building of group value (C(S)) in 2006.
