Description
Newark Farmhouse is an earlier 19th century, two-storey, three-bay farmhouse featuring gabled wings to the north. The south elevation is constructed of coursed, squared rubble with painted margins, and includes a central, later-added harled and gabled porch. The windows are fitted with plate glass sashes. The building has straight skews, coped end stacks, and a slate roof. The triangular garden is enclosed by rubble-built walls, which include a blocked gateway to the south. Additionally, there are rubble gatepiers topped with ornate late 17th century decorative urns, likely sourced from Newark Castle.
