Description

42 and 44 Marketgate in Crail is an early 18th century building, with lintels at the back dated 1708 and 1710. It is a two-storey structure with an attic, built from rubble with margins. The building has a T-plan layout and features a two-window crowstepped gable. There is a forestair in the western re-entrant angle and a one-window arrangement on the west side, which includes a swept dormer head. The roof is pantiled, with slate skirting.
