Description
89 North Street in St Andrews is a single-storey building with one-window wings, constructed from coursed rubble around 1812. It served as the town house for the Lindsays of Wormiston. The central block is two-storey with a basement and attic, featuring three windows. This part is made of droved ashlar with raised quoins and includes a four-column Roman Doric entrance. The friezes are fluted and adorned with rosettes. The roof is slated and has later canted dormers. There are also slate buildings flanking the forecourt; the eastern building has two windows and a built-up central door, while the western building (number 93) has later window designs, two windows, and a central door, with the wallhead slightly raised and two large piended dormers.
