Description

The stables at Hill of Tarvit date from the late 18th to early 19th century and are designed in a classical style. The building is constructed of droved ashlar stone with polished dressings on the south elevation. The central bay is prominent and features a pediment with a blocked pend, channelled voussoirs, and an oeil-de-boeuf window above. To the east and west, there are two single-storey bays, and the outer bays are advanced and taller, featuring rusticated quoins and windows set within wide segmentally arched panels. The roofs are covered with slate and are piended over the pavilion bays.
