Description

Poldrate Mill in Haddington dates from the 18th and early 19th centuries. The main building is a broad three-storey rectangle with two-window elevations, while a two-storey north wing features an altered outshot. The structure is built of rubble and has slated roofs. On the south side, there is a broad undershot water wheel, although the housing for the wheel is now roofless; however, the sluice gear has been preserved. The mill originally had a brick chimney, which has been removed during recent renovations.
