Description
Holy Trinity Church, located on Church Street in Haddington, was originally built in 1770 and underwent Gothicization in 1843. This included the addition of tall lancet windows on the south and north sides, an open porch at the west entrance, and a three-sided gallery. In 1930, the original shallow apse from 1843 was replaced with a Romano-Byzantine chancel designed by B N H Orphoot, featuring interlaced arch windows and a pantiled roof. The pulpit, created in 1893 by Birnie Rhind, is present within the church, along with a late 19th century memorial window titled 'Feed My Lambs', which was reset in a colourless glass surround on the north side of the chancel. The church is complemented by rubble garden walls and ashlar gatepiers.
