Description
The Bank of Scotland, located at 48-49 High Street in Haddington, is a classical building designed by architect James Burn in the early 19th century. It features three storeys and an attic, constructed of ashlar stone with a slated roof. The building has a later ornamental balustrade and urns at the parapet. On the first and second floors, there are four architraved windows, and the roof includes three triangular pedimented dormers. The ground floor, which exhibits Renaissance style, was added around 1900.
