Description

Loudoun Castle is a ruin of an extensive building constructed around 1807 in the castle style for the Countess of Loudoun and Moira, designed by architect Archibald Elliot. The structure incorporates parts of two older castles: a 15th to 16th century keep, which still stands four stories tall, and a section of a 17th century building.
