14 Airlie Place, Dundee

12 Airlie Place in Dundee is a simple classical, 2-storey and basement Italianate terrace designed by John Dick Peddie around 1846. The terrace consists of four stepped blocks that follow the slope of the ground and are constructed from ashlar stone.

The southern block, No. 2, features a three-bay window with a central square Doric porch that has a pitched roof. This block is slightly recessed and has a partially bowed two-window corner, along with two bays facing Perth Road. The ground floor windows are adorned with architraves, aprons, and cornices, while the first-floor windows have cills. The main cornice is complemented by a balustraded parapet. Above the door, there is a paired wallhead stack with scrolled ends, linked by a short balustrade.

Nos. 4 to 14 consist of three paired mirrored houses, each forming a six-bay block. Each house has two closely spaced windows and a plain doorway at the center, with cast-iron railed steps leading up to them. The ground floor windows are aproned, and there is a cill band at the first floor. An eaves band course, cornice, and balustraded parapet extend along the party wall to the ridge stacks.

All windows throughout the terrace are sash and case with a four-pane glazing pattern, and there are cast-iron rainwater goods.
