Description
Middle Cottage, located in Margaretsfield, dates from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is a row of formerly three adjoining single-storey cottages, originally designed as three separate three-bay units. Currently, one cottage has been combined into a larger unit, and there is a blocked door where the original entrance was. The exterior is made of whitewashed rubble with contrasting painted margins, and it features ashlar end stacks. The roofs are covered with graded slates and have a swept design that extends over the outshots at the rear. There is also a long row of whitewashed sheds and outbuildings to the north.
