Description
7 Birtwhistle Street in Gatehouse of Fleet is a row of weaver's cottages built in the late 18th to early 19th century. The two-storey buildings are similar in design, though some have minor modern changes to their windows. Each house has two bays and is constructed from brick, with harled surfaces and some featuring modern roughcast. The windows are primarily single light, except for a bipartite window at No 7, and are mainly sash and case with 12-pane glazing. The cottages have saw tooth brick eaves, slate roofs, and axial brick coped stacks.
