Description
26 Gilmore Place is a mid-19th century building consisting of two houses, each two storeys high with an attic and three bays. The exterior features polished ashlar stone, with a band course separating the ground and first floors, projecting cills, an eaves cornice, and a blocking course. The left bays have timber panelled doors topped with plate glass fanlights set in Doric pilastered surrounds. The houses are regularly fenestrated, with later slate-hung dormers added to the attics.
The windows are timber sash and case style, featuring 8-pane glazing. The roofs are covered with grey slates and have stone skews, along with corniced ashlar stacks.
The boundary walls are made of low stone with cast-iron railings on top.
