Description
This is an early 20th-century two-faced clock located in Tollcross, Edinburgh. It features a metal case with white faces displaying black Roman numerals, made by James Ritchie & Son of Edinburgh. The clock is topped with a painted cast-iron representation of the Edinburgh coat of arms. It is mounted on a tall fluted cast-iron column that has a polygonal base and a floral capital, which was manufactured by W Macfarlane and Co at the Saracen Foundry in Glasgow.
