Description
3 Inverleith Row in Edinburgh is a building designed by David MacGibbon in 1862. This corner block features three storeys and three windows, with a central tripartite window and one-window quadrant corners. The first floor has cast-iron balconies at both the center and the quadrant corners, and the central window is topped with a segmentally pedimented design. The building has wallhead angle chimneys with two square shafts, and the exterior is made of ashlar stone with plain end pilasters that are channelled at the ground floor.
The front of the building facing the terrace has three windows with stugged ashlar. The adjacent units, numbered 1 to 4, are two-storey structures with two windows each, one of which is a tripartite window. These units also feature plain pilasters that are channelled at the ground floor and topped with ball finials, constructed from ashlar with slated roofs.
