Description

King's Bridge in Edinburgh was designed by Thomas Hamilton and built between 1829 and 1832. It features a semi-elliptical tunnel-arched design that passes through an embankment, supporting Johnstone Terrace. The bridge is constructed of ashlar stone and includes a moulded cornice running along its length, as well as a moulded cope at the entrances. Tall ashlar obelisks are positioned on either side of the entrances, adding to its architectural significance.
