12 Glenisla Gardens, Edinburgh

14 Glenisla Gardens in Edinburgh is a pair of single-storey cottages with attics and basements, designed by J Bryan Nisbet in 1899. These cottages are situated on sloping ground and are part of a terrace. The buildings feature cream harling for Nos 12-13 and light blue harling for Nos 14-15, accented with grey sandstone dressings. Architectural details include a base course, cill band course, eaves cornice, and advanced entrance blocks with lintel band courses. The doorways are roll-moulded and surrounded by single windows, with aproned cornices above the doorways, cornices, and blocking courses. The cottages have panelled doors and piend-roofed quadripartite box dormers.

The entrance elevation consists of four bays that are mirrored around the center. The advanced entrances are located in the second and third bays, with doorways flanked by single windows on either side. There are tripartite windows in the outer left and right bays, and each house features a box dormer. The windows are sash and case style, with two-pane lower sashes and six-pane upper sashes. The cottages have a grey-green slate roof, with harled and coped stacks, terracotta ridge tiles, and finials on the dormers. The gables are coped, and there is moulded eaves guttering with scroll skewputts. The interiors were not seen in 1991.
