Description
11 Millerfield Place is a terrace of eight two-storey, two-bay villas built in 1864, along with a three-storey and basement corner tenement pavilion block at the north corner. Together, they form one side of a dead-end street. The principal elevations are finished in droved ashlar, while the rear is constructed from squared and snecked sandstone rubble.
The terrace features prominent full-height three-light canted bays and entrance doors framed by pilastered and round-arched architraves. A cornice extends to create a band course at the first-floor level. The windows have projecting cills with plain brackets and plain moulded surrounds, and there is continuous decorative stone eaves balustrading along the full length of the terrace.
The entrance doors are made of timber and consist of four panels with curved mouldings. The windows are timber sash and case with four-pane glazing. The buildings have corniced stone ridge stacks and slate roofs. Most of the houses are bordered by low boundary walls with copes facing the street.
