Description

The Celtic Cross in Colquhoun Square, Helensburgh, was erected in 1903 by Sir James Colquhoun to commemorate the centenary of the burgh. It is made of pinkish granite and stands on a raised stepped base. The front of the cross is inscribed with "Centenary memorial 1802 Henry Bell Provost, 1902 Samuel Bryden Provost," while the rear bears the inscription "Presented by Sir James Colquhoun 12th Baronet of Luss 1903."
