Description
Kildalton House is a later 19th century building designed in the Scots Baronial style. It has a rambling plan and is constructed of stugged ashlar with dressed face-work. The house features four storeys and includes a five-storey angle tower, which is topped with a corbelled and crenellated parapet. The entrances are marked by round-headed doorways.
The wings of the house are one and two storeys tall, with gabled roofs and crow-steps. There are dormers and a two-storey bay window that add to the architectural interest.
Inside, the large rooms are adorned with 'Classical' chimney-pieces, enhancing the character of the interior.
