Description
Frances Walker's Cottage is a traditional single-storey, three-bay cottage from the 19th century, located in Balevullin, Tiree. It features an adjoining traditional barn that is positioned transversely to the common gable wall. The structure is built of rubble, predominantly white-washed. The house has "tobhta," or wide eaves, only on the front, and includes a small pedimented porch at the centre doorway. The corners of the house are rounded, while the barn has square corners. There are end stacks, and the roof is thatched and piended.
