Home Farm at Islay House is a large complex of traditional buildings dating from the later 18th century. The structures are harled and feature slate roofs. The southwest side includes a two-storey steading with a segmental-arched pend and a projecting pavilion, topped with a pediment and clock tower. To the northwest, there is an inner yard containing two two-storey gabled houses, along with one-storey-and-attic houses connected by a low wing, all featuring piended roofs. On the southeast side, there is a two-storey storehouse and steading, which includes a doocot in the roof. The yard also contains two piended byres and kennels located in the northwest corner.
