Description
Beannachar, formerly known as Banchory House, is a large Tudor-Gothic mansion built in 1839, designed by architect John Smith. The house features harled walls and a slate roof, with granite dressings. An inset stone from an older house on the site is dated 1621 and marked with the initials A G. The property has historical associations with Dr. Chalmers and the Prince Consort.
