Description
Auchterless Parish Church was built between 1877 and 1879 by William and John Smith, with the southwest spire completed by A.H.L. Mackinnon in 1896. This large Gothic church features transepts and a hall to the east. The exterior is constructed of pinned rubble with red sandstone dressings, and the west window showcases plate tracery. Inside, there is a west gallery, a hammerbeam roof, and slim iron columns at the transepts. The church also houses a bell made by Mears and Stainbank in 1894.
