47 Waverley Place, Aberdeen

49 Waverley Place in Aberdeen is a single-storey and attic building, constructed around 1855. It consists of a mirrored pair of two 2-bay houses, built from coursed granite rubble that is finely finished at the margins. The structure features an eaves course, pilastered timber doorways, panelled timber doors with glazed upper panels, and 2-pane letterbox fanlights. The gableted windows break the eaves to the attic floor, and the building has curvilinear gables.

The north elevation is symmetrical, with doorways located in the central bays at ground level and windows above in the attic. The outer left and right bays are gabled and advanced, each featuring 3-light canted windows on the ground floor and a single window set in the gablehead above. The west elevation is near-symmetrical, with two bays on the left that are harled, and ground floor additions. It has three symmetrically placed windows in the attic. The south elevation features two curvilinear gables on the left and right, while the remainder was not visible in 2000. The east elevation is symmetrical with three bays, although the ground floor was not visible at that time; it has three regularly placed windows in the attic.

The building predominantly has 4-pane timber sash and case windows, a grey slate roof with a lead ridge, and coped stone skews with blocked skewputts. The gablehead stacks are made of finely finished pink granite, featuring a modillion cornice and octagonal cans. It also has cast-iron rainwater goods.

The interiors were not seen in 2000. The boundary walls include a low granite wall to the north, flanked by brick coped rubble walls on the remaining sides.
