Description

A pair of houses was built in the mid-19th century, likely between 1840 and 1859. The buildings, located within the Lisdrumgullion townland and a conservation area, were originally rendered with slated roofs. Each house was three storeys high and featured double-hung windows. A moulded impost course ran along the ground floor, continuing as a stepped hood mould above the doors and windows. The first-floor windows were distinguished by moulded architraves, consoles, and cornices, while the second-floor windows had squared moulded architraves. A cill course was also present. The building was topped by a balustrade of semicircular arches above a moulded eaves cornice and a plain frieze. Number 30 was altered with shop fronts. The buildings have since been demolished, and the site is now vacant. The first survey card, dated 5 November 1969, describes the building in these terms.
