Description
Barnhalt Bridge was a reinforced concrete road over railway bridge constructed between 1920 and 1939, located on Taylors Avenue, Carrickfergus, County Antrim. The bridge was originally dated 1929. It was demolished around 2006 and subsequently replaced with a pre-tensioned concrete beam bridge. The structure was surveyed during the First Survey but was not listed at the time. Due to its demolition before the Second Survey was completed, a partial record remains. The bridge held former use as a bridge and was not of particular historical or architectural interest.
