Description

The structure is a redbrick chimney situated within farmland. It is the sole remaining element of a former steam-powered flax mill complex that once occupied the site. The chimney has been surveyed, but it is not considered to be of sufficient interest to warrant a full listing, nor does it possess architectural or historical interest. Although it is considered to have industrial archaeological interest, its lack of associated structures means it is not listed. The former use of the site was as a factory, and the mill buildings are now demolished.
