St Patrick's RC Church, Lisnaragh Road, Dunamanagh Road, Strabane, Co Tyrone

This late 20th-century Roman Catholic church, located on Lisnaragh Road, Dunamanagh Road, Strabane, was designed by the local architect Patrick Haughey, known for his church in Sion Mills. While not considered his most accomplished work, the church features several noteworthy elements including a metal roof design, stone walling with recessed cross motifs, and stained glass by Neil Shawcross.

The church was built in 1969 and is a double-height, symmetrical, modernist design. It has a square plan and incorporates a single-story, rectangular projecting porch to the front elevation, and a side chapel/vestry to the rear. The external walls are loadbearing, clad in polygonal rubble stone at ground level, with a continuous aluminium-clad clerestory at first floor level, featuring rectangular windows. The roof has a shallow pyramid shape. There are seven windows on each of the three main elevations, with splayed reveals and modern, abstract stained glass in vivid citrus colours, designed by Neil Shawcross. The rear elevation includes a deep, flat metal soffit and a centrally located, single-story rectangular extension clad in stone, containing the side chapel, confession booths, and a vestry. The front porch is composed of two solid gable walls clad in stone, topped with a flat roof featuring a deep metal soffit and a recessed timber and glass entrance screen spanning its full length.

The building was only subject to a partial survey as it did not meet the criteria for listing.
