Description

The pump, dating from 1900 to 1919, is a cow tail closed head lever pump with a plain, shaped column decorated with spirals. The cap is fluted and topped with an acorn finial. A spout lug is present, and the column’s head is inscribed 'D Christie Coleraine'. It currently serves as an ornamental feature and has been relocated from Culnaman, near Moneydig. Further information can be found in the EHS Report 'WaterPumps in Northern Ireland: A Preliminary Survey' by Fed Hammond, January 1997, under Pump no. 20. Due to its relocation, the pump has reduced historical interest.
