Description
The Mersey Street Bridge is a triple-span reinforced-concrete road bridge situated over the Connswater River. It is constructed with six longitudinal beams supporting a slab deck, and features concrete parapets with recessed panels. The bridge was initially surveyed in the First Survey but was not included on the list of designated heritage assets. A partial record was taken during the Second Survey, as it was deemed not worthy of a full survey. It currently serves as a bridge, its original purpose.
