The Cregagh Housing Estate is a post-war public housing development constructed in the 1940s. Designed by T.F.O. Rippingham, an architect for the Ministry of Finance, the estate consists of brick-built units distinguished by stylistic features including porthole windows and square panels of projecting brickwork. Some original features have been lost due to subsequent owner-occupation, and the original metal framed windows no longer survive. The estate was initially surveyed in the First Survey but was not listed. A Partial Survey was undertaken during the Second Survey, reflecting the assessment that the estate does not possess sufficient architectural or historical interest to warrant a full survey and listing.
