Description
The site of Limekilns, located to the southwest of Kiln Park in Templepatrick, is now vacant following the demolition of the kilns themselves. The only remaining structure is a single-storey shed running parallel to the railway line. The shed has a pitched slate roof and walls constructed of uncoursed basalt rubble. It features a stepped brick eaves course and quoins. A central, segmental-headed recess, entirely built of brick with decorative quoins to the reveals, contains a double-height entrance opening fitted with modern steel sliding doors.
