Description
No. 5 Bridge Street is a late 17th century building that stands three storeys high with an attic, constructed from roughcast stone and topped with a Welsh slate roof. It features one window on each storey, each with plain stone surrounds and a keystone. The entrance is a small door beneath a four-centred stone arch, which has the date 1689 inscribed on the lintel. There is a small shop window from the 19th century, and above the door, a painted stone sundial can be found. Additionally, facing The Green, there is another sundial inscribed with "Wm Hutton Esq 1720." This building, along with Nos 1 to 15 (odd), the premises occupied by A & G Clark, and the Oak Tree Public House, forms a group with The Green Bridge.
