Description
Nos. 20 and 22, Sheaf Street are a building dating from the 16th or early 17th century, with alterations from the early 19th century and later. The building is constructed of colourwashed brick and has a tiled roof with two gabled dormers. It extends over two storeys and includes attic space. A modern shop front is present on the right-hand side, while the left-hand side features an early 19th-century shop front. The first floor has four triple-light sash windows. A central passageway is present. The interior is said to contain three original stone fireplaces and a staircase similar in style to that at No. 5 Market Place.
