Description

The Old Convent is an early 19th century house built of dressed stone and covered by a Welsh slate roof, with gable end stone copings and a cyma recta stone cornice. The building is two storeys high with attics, arranged in an L-shaped plan. The south front has two box dormers, three sash windows with flat arches, and canted bay windows on the left side of the ground floor. A 19th century central doorway features an oblong fanlight, pilaster surround, frieze, and a cornice hood supported by brackets. A later projecting wing on the left has a taller window on the upper floor.
