Description

Nos 4 and 6 on Gold Street are a pair of buildings constructed in 1881 by S J Newman. They are three storeys tall with an attic, featuring shaped gables. The brick exterior is now covered in cement render, with stone dressings. The upper storeys have three windows in flat bows, adorned with carved details above the cornice. The ground floor includes two semi-elliptical arches and a prominent doorway with a heavy pediment, which now faces an arcade. Nos 4 to 10 (even) are recognized as a group.
