Description

A group of four houses, dating to the middle to late 18th century and restored in the 20th century, now combined into a single dwelling. The building is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a Callyweston slate roof. Originally designed with one and two-unit plans, it now presents a two-story facade with a four-window arrangement at the first floor and a six-window arrangement at ground floor. The windows are 20th-century leaded casements set beneath wooden lintels. A 20th-century door, also under a wooden lintel, is located on the right side of the building. There are two blacked doors to the right, one of which has been replaced with a window. Brick and stone stacks are visible at the ridge and end of the building. The right-hand bay was originally extended further. Inside, you will find three open fireplaces with bressumers. A room to the far left contains stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. An original plank door in the entrance hall formerly provided access to a winder stair. The right-hand bay originally extended further.
