Description
Nos 45 to 51 on Windsor End is a group of buildings dating from the 17th century, originally timber-framed but refronted in the 18th century and modernised. The buildings are constructed of red brick and feature a handmade tile roof with gables at each end. They are one storey high with an attic and have two central gabled dormers. The left gable contains a two-light casement window with a cambered relieving arch and glazing bars, while the right gable has one bricked-in window and one modern casement.
On the ground floor, No 45 has a three-light casement, No 47 features a three-light casement with a cambered relieving arch, No 49 includes a fixed window with glazing bars, and No 51 has a modern three-light shallow bay window. Each of the four houses has boarded doors beneath simple open gabled porches. A string course runs across Nos 45 and 47 at first floor level, stepping down on the front of No 47. There are chimneys located between Nos 45 and 47, as well as one chimney in the roof over No 49.
