Description

Glebe House is a house dating from around 1840, constructed of stone rubble with a slate roof, wide wooden eaves, and three brick chimneystacks. The building has a T-shaped layout and irregular window placement. The front elevation features a projecting gable with unusual two-and-a-half-storey canted bays, each with fixed lights. The main entrance is located on the right side, featuring a round-headed recessed doorway, a doorcase with a semi-circular fanlight, and a six-panel door with glazed top panels. The right side of the building has unusual seven-pane casement windows on both floors, with some ground floor windows blanked or fitted with gauze. The rear elevation has four windows, with round-headed openings on the first floor containing three 12-pane sash windows and one blank, and 12-pane sashes and a French window on the ground floor. A 20th-century conservatory has been added. A slate staircase is located within the interior.
