Description
Black Tile House, dating from around 1790, is a two-storey building with three windows. The front elevation is faced with black mathematical tiles, punctuated by rusticated, painted wooden quoins. It features a tiled roof, and the original glazing bars are now missing. A doorway, accessed by three steps, incorporates pilasters, a low fanlight, a flat hood supported by brackets, and a door consisting of six fielded panels. The north-west wall is constructed of flints with quoins of red brick and grey headers, incorporating a chimney breast. To the north-west of the main house is a recessed ground floor outhouse faced with flints and red brick dressings and quoins.
