Description

St Nicholas Cottages, originally built as the Vicarage in 1849 by the Duke of Norfolk, comprise two parallel ranges. The building is two storeys high and has two windows. It is constructed of red brick with grey brick headers. The roof is steeply pitched and covered in slate, with gabled ends facing north and south. The windows are casement windows with latticed panes. A gabled porch is located on the west front. Above this porch is a small gable above the first-floor window, bearing a plaque displaying the date 1849, the letter 'N', and a coronet.
