Description

St Cuthman's School, formerly known as Wispers, is a late 19th-century mansion built in 1876 for a Duchess of Bedford. The building, now a girls' school, was designed by Norman Shaw and is constructed of stone, with the upper storeys featuring imitation timber framing and plaster infilling. A series of gables contain attic windows, and the roof is tiled. Casement windows are present throughout. The building is two storeys high with an attic, and contains six windows.
