Description

Palfrey Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 16th century or earlier. It has an L-shaped timber-framed structure that has been refaced with Wealden sandstone rubble. The west end of the north front features a gable with a blocked attic window. The roof is hipped and covered with tiles. The building has casement windows that include cement-canted mullions and stands two storeys tall with three windows. Inside, there is an immense chimney and an inglenook that are unusually large in size.
