Description
This boundary stone, dating from the early 19th century, is located approximately 1350 meters south of Highcliff Farmhouse. It is made of roughly dressed sandstone and measures about 75 cm in height and 22 cm by 30 cm in width. The southwest face is inscribed with "T," while the northeast face bears the inscription "R.C. H.R. T.C. G.A. 1856." The stone is situated on the northeast side of a track, marking the boundary between the civil parishes of Guisborough and Great Ayton, as well as the counties of Cleveland and North Yorkshire.
