Description
This boundary stone, dating from the mid-18th century, is located approximately 1300 meters southwest of Highcliff Farmhouse. It is made of roughly dressed sandstone and measures about 60 centimeters high, 37 centimeters wide, and 30 centimeters deep. The northeast face of the stone is inscribed with "R.Y. 1759." It stands to the west of a track, marking the boundary between the civil parishes of Guisborough and Great Ayton, as well as the counties of Cleveland and North Yorkshire.
