Description

The Mount is a building from the 17th century located in Rydal and Loughrigg. It has two storeys and is constructed of stone rubble with an old slate roof featuring round chimneys. The building has twin round-headed entrances that are sheltered by a common gabled porch. There are three casement windows on each floor, with window labels. The right-hand windows are situated in a gabled wing that is positioned at a higher level up the hill. For additional context, refer to the general group description under Rydal.
